Single-axis Voice-Coil motor linear stage (SVC)

 

    Linear motor precision stage---The SVC module is a extremely high precision and miniature positioning stage. A voice coil motor (VCM) is employed to achieve low moving mass, excellent accuracy and smooth low-speed motion. Cross roller linear bearing with rigid aluminum structure yields good repeatability.

    The SVC module is very suitable for vertical use because of low moving mass. With our advanced driver, positioning, touch-down, and force control are achieved thru just digital I/O's. The touch-down speed and  force can be pre-programmed thru RS232. This successfully achieves the following two advantages. First, the touch-down action is locally controlled by the driver so that the expensive motion controller with DA channel is no longer needed. Second, the  touch-down procedure can be accelerated because the latency due to OS for motion mode change is eliminated. For 10nm-resolution positioning system, the linear power stage is employed to replace the conventional PWM power stage for minimize the disturbance due to current ripple. The customer can request spring for gravity balance or air-piston for anti-falling when power is gone. 

    Effective stroke, user-specified mounting holes, encoder resolution, type of brake for vertical use, external payload, accuracy grade, and the required motion profile all can be specified by the customer to achieve seamless integration into your machine design.
